Time to rise up Bulldog nation

Something special has been brewing this fall on the Whitefish gridiron.

The green and gold, champs of the Northwest A, have simply overpowered, outmuscled and run over nearly every opponent that’s lined up across from this fierce collection of athletes. It’s been an impressive display of football thus far, but for this team with high expectations, the fun is just beginning.

Whitefish’s march toward an elusive State A championship that has evaded this town for more than 30 years begins Saturday when the Eagles from way, way, way out east in Sidney come to town for a quarterfinal game.

Even as a No. 1 seed, this is the only home game Whitefish will have throughout the playoffs if they’re fortunate enough to advance.

It’s time for Bulldog nation to rise up and pack the bleachers at Memorial Field. Let’s show how much we believe in and support this team that has acted with nothing but class in its dominate run through the regular season.

Fans not yet familiar with this team won’t be disappointed. Expect hard hits, relentless defense and a diversity of offensive weapons that other teams struggle to contain.

The weather looks ideal for football with highs in the 40s and nothing but sun forecasted. So don your brightest green and gold and head down to Memorial Field on Saturday at 1 p.m. for kickoff.

We’ll see you there and Go Dogs!
