DECA strong at state meet
The Whitefish High School DECA chapter is sending a strong contingent to Orlando, Fla., next month for the International Career Development Conference.
Whitefish had 21 qualifiers after an impressive showing at the state competition in Great Falls. There were 47 competitors from Whitefish at state.
Whitefish DECA adviser Jeremy Anderson estimated there were more than 500 students vying for the top three spots.
DECA is an international nonprofit organization for high school and college students interested in marketing, finance, business management administration, and hospitality and tourism management careers.
Students compete in a variety of competitive events through role playing, presentations and written research.
