Whitefish ski racers finish on podium at Bridger Bowl

Whitefish Mountain Resort’s alpine race team took home multiple podium finishes at Bridger’s Youth Ski League races Feb. 20-22.

Bringing home the gold in Friday’s GS race was U14 racer Colter Upton. Silver medal winners included Camas Rinehart (U14), Tyler Anderson (U12), Ryder Elliott (U10) and Tess Lewison (U10). U10 skier Jack Muhlfeld finished with the bronze in U10 boys.

Saturday’s GS race resulted in a podium sweep for the U14 Whitefish boys with Rinehart in first, Devin Beale second and Upton in third. Anderson Elliott both finished second.

Sunday’s event was a kombi, consisting of elements of both GS and slalom. The U12 Whitefish boys took the podium sweep in the race with Anderson in first, Chase Sabin second and Burke Fox in third. Upton took second in his group.

Next up for the Whitefish team is the YSL Championships March 5-8 at Whitefish Mountain Resort. There will be over 200 skiers racing from USSA’s Northern Division.
