Patricia L. Marks

Patricia L. Marks, 66, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at her home in Olney after a long battle with cancer.

Patricia was born on Feb. 24, 1949 in Norway, Maine to Anthony and Mary Norton of South Paris, Maine. She went to school in South Paris. Patricia worked at the Francine Shoe Shop in Norway and as a nanny for one of the Wilners who owned the Wilners Saw Mill in South Paris.

Patricia moved to Montana in 1976 and went to work as a housekeeper for Bay Point Estates in Whitefish.

Patricia married Vincent L. Marks June 27, 1981. She worked at Creative Sales and Manufacturing on Highway 93 south of Olney. They lived in Olney until 2000 when they moved to Salem, Ore.

Patricia went to work for Neilsens Manufacturing doing electrical assembly in Salem. While working at Nelsens, she started her own jewelry business Jewels and Things. They lived in Salem for 10 years then moved back to Olney.

Patricia loved to go camping with her family at Upper Stillwater Lake and Glenn Lake. Her hobbies were crocheting, knitting and working with plastic canvas. She made a lot of slippers for her children and grandchildren. She loved to work in her strawberry bed and working with her flowers. She loved her dogs especially her little dog Baby and watching her fish swim in the fish tanks.

Patricia is survived by her husband and her four daughters, Tammy Delfino and husband Bob of Lyons, Ore., Wendy Hubbard and husband Mike of West Salem, Ore. , Crystal Marks and Jasper “Skippy” Endres of McMinnville, Ore., and Tiffany Marks of Olney. Her six beloved grandchildren, Amber and Bobby Delfino of Salem, Ore., Kyla and Tavis Sibbett of West Salem, Ore., Cierra and Jake Sizer of McMinnville, Ore. Her four great-grandchildren, Anthony and Favian Delfino of Salem, Ore., Nia Lowell and Matthew Hegge II of West Salem, Ore. She is also survived by her sister, Marion Libby of Olney; and her brother, Michael Norton of Sumner, Maine.

Her family loved her dearly and we will miss her. She has left a void in our hearts but our memories of her are precious and will keep her with us always.

The family would like to thank Wings for all their help with travel and lodging during the travels back and forth to Oregon to the hospital.

We would also like to thank O.H.S.U. for their care of Patricia while she was with them and a thank you to all her nurses who were very considerate to the family members while we were there. A special recognition to Jasper “Skippy” Endres who was her primary caregiver and friend while she was receiving treatments at O.H.S.U. from 2013 to 2015.

Thank you to HOSPICE for helping Patricia and her family at the end with their home health support was a big help and when a shoulder was really needed to lean on.

There will be a private family grave side services at Conrad Cemetery on June 29 followed by a gathering at the Olney Fire Hall.
