The Whitefish girls basketball team struggled on the road last week, taking defeats at Bigfork and Frenchtown.

The Lady Dogs were outscored 26-8 in the first half at Bigfork on Friday and couldn’t catch up as the Valkyries rolled to a 59-24 nonconference win.

Mariah Drown pulled down nine rebounds and scored four points in a solid effort.

Freshman Dani Douglas and Cailyn Ross each put in eight points Saturday at Frenchtown, but it wasn’t enough to overcome a 22-point halftime deficit.

The Lady Broncs picked up the Northwest A victory 63-33.

Whitefish is now 2-5 overall and 0-2 in the league.

The Lady Dogs host Florence on Friday.
