Time to shelve the parking garage?
Thank you to Kevin Gartland (Pilot, Feb. 11) for voicing so clearly what so many of us are thinking.
We have a high school renovation way over budget, are looking at an upgrade of our water system, and now have a projected cost of $14 million plus for a new City Hall and parking garage,
And that’s not counting rent and two moves.
As for the city resort tax, I remember clearly that in selling the idea it was promised it would NEVER be raised.
A fact not mentioned — how much will taking those 3,000 acres out of the tax base cost?
Is it time to shelve the parking garage?
