Bulldog football will be well represented at the elite East-West Shrine Game.

Six players from Whitefish’s State A championship team were selected to the West roster, and head coach Chad Ross will call plays from the sideline.

Safety Brian FauntLeRoy, quarterback Luke May, wide receiver Jed Nagler, running back Chris Park, center Steven Quimby, and defensive end Chaffin Ross all were nominated by coaches across the state to play in the all-star game July 16 in Butte.

Forty Montana players are selected to compete on each team, along with two players from Calgary, one for the East and one for the West.

The East team will be coached by Mike Ludwig from the Laurel Locomotives.

Every year since 1947, Montana’s best prep players are selected to compete in the Shrine Game to raise money and awareness for the orthopedic and burn clinic at the Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Spokane, Washington. The game has raised more than $400,000 the past six years.
