Dogs can't overcome sluggish start against AA Flathead
A slow start buried Whitefish’s chances in a 55-38 nonconference loss Friday at Flathead High School.
Whitefish (1-4) was outscored 10-28 in the first half on the road against the Class AA program.
Junior Derek Kastella scored 14 points on 3 for 7 shooting, and pulled down three rebounds to lead the Dogs on the stat sheet.
Jacob Henery added 10 points, four rebounds and one assist for another strong outing for the sophomore.
Overall the Dogs struggled to find their shot, finishing 27 percent from the field and 3 of 12 on three-pointers.
Whitefish hosts Frenchtown in a conference game Jan. 5 at 7:30 p.m.
