Speech takes 2nd at home meet
Whitefish speech and debate team took second at its home tournament last week.
Columbia Falls was first with 173 sweepstakes points, followed by Whitefish with 150 and Stevensville at 31 for Class A schools.
“Overall, it was a good showing for us,” Coach Sara Mueller said. “The students really demonstrated their leadership and self-motivation, as coaches were extremely busy with the logistics of hosting a large tournament.”
Mueller pointed to Zach Ade who she said continues to impress with his fourth championship of the season in memorized public address.
She also recognized Kate Ehrenberg and Bergen Carloss, who at their first time competing in public forum debate earned a second place finish.
