Whitefish extends market season into winter Dec.15

| December 2, 2015 10:00 PM

The city of Whitefish is taking vendor applications for the first Whitefish Winter Market on Dec. 15 at the Roy Duff Memorial Armory.

The market will bring the same fun and festive atmosphere as the summer market, extending the market season for Flathead Valley residents and local producers. The city is looking for local arts, crafts and foods that exhibit the holiday season.

Vendors may offer locally grown products and plants and locally made foods, arts and crafts.

Food vendors must have approval from the Flathead City-County Health Department and provide copiers of permits. Fees include a $1 site fee and 5 percent of your gross will be collected at the end of each market.

The city of Whitefish assesses a resort tax on the sale of food, arts and crafts.

Setup for the market begins at 3:30 p.m. Vendors will be provided one 6-by-2 1/2-foot table and chairs for their booth.
