Lady Dogs led by doubles teams
Whitefish’s top doubles duo of Anna Peterson and Katie Fyall rallied for a three-set win Saturday to help lift the Lady Dogs over Polson 5-2 in a Northwest A dual.
Peterson and Fyall dropped the first set 4-6, but came back to win the second frame 7-5. They dominated in the third 6-2 to seal the win.
Whitefish swept the doubles action with Heather Luedke and Hannah Madsen winning at No. 2, and Amara McDaniel and Cailyn Ross squeaking out a three set win at No. 3.
No. 3 Makenna Benbrook and No. 4 Holly Hileman won in singles action.
Whitefish continued it’s hot play Saturday, sweeping singles play to top Dillon 4-3.
Madsen went 6-1, 6-3 over Adrianne Southam in the No. 1 match to set the tone. Luedke battled with Tessa Sawyer for a 6-4, 7-5 victory at No. 2.
Fyall and Peterson rounded out the winning at No. 3 and No. 4.
Whitefish is at the Bitterroot Invite this weekend.
