Police calls: Angry driver threatens cyclists on bike path

Whitefish Police calls March 30 - April 4

Monday, March 30

9:21 a.m. A Border Patrol agent reported a small amount of meth that needed to be picked up by police.

11:16 a.m. Child Protective Services was called to the hospital after a mother tested positive for meth during delivery.

12:20 p.m. A River Lakes Parkway neighbor reported that a neighbor’s dog charged his wife. The dog owner wasn’t concerned.

6:11 p.m. A man said his guns were taken three years ago when he was put in the “nut hut” by his family. He wanted to know if he could get the guns back.

10:47 p.m. Report of a disturbance at an apartment on Wisconsin Avenue. A woman said her intoxicated boyfriend was threatening her. She finally escaped and ran away.

11:18 p.m. A caller reported she was locked in a garage on Mill Avenue. She was told by Canadians to go to the home for cheese and crackers. She said the garage was full of horns and straps.

Tuesday, March 31

1:20 a.m. A man said he was assaulted earlier but didn’t remember much else about the incident.

6:26 a.m. A stereo speaker was stolen from a Jeep parked on Wisconsin Avenue.

6:43 a.m. A man was arrested following a reported verbal disturbance on Spokane Avenue. The man was reportedly heard yelling at a woman and threatening to slit her throat.

11:33 p.m. Report of a hit-and-run on West 4th Street. Someone reportedly hit the car as they were leaving a party then fled the scene.

Wednesday, April 1

2:35 p.m. A great Pyrenees dog was found on Wisconsin Avenue.

Thursday, April 2

1:22 a.m. Report of an underage party on Skyles Avenue. Some party-goers ran away when police arrived.

5:55 p.m. A Texas Avenue resident said his sister refused to return his vehicle after he let her borrow it for the morning.

Friday, April 3

6:35 p.m. A Denver Street resident complained about vehicles from the nearby brewery parking on his lawn.

7:10 p.m. Teens were seen climbing into a vacant house on Dugans Way.

8:40 p.m. A group of bicyclists reported road rage on Wisconsin Avenue. The driver reportedly turned onto Skyles, narrowly avoiding the group that was on the bike path. The suspect reportedly threatened that the next time he sees the cyclists he would run them over and hope they are dead.

10:47 p.m. A West 8th Street resident said someone was knocking on their door and running away.

Saturday, April 4

1:59 a.m. Suspicious people took off running from a vehicle on Somers Avenue.

2:31 a.m. A man was arrested for urinating on Spokane Avenue.

5:37 p.m. A driver suspected of DUI was arrested on Wisconsin Avenue. The driver was spotted speeding and making bad passes while coming down Big Mountain Road.

9:08 p.m. Report of an attempted break-in on Glenwood Road.

Sunday, April 5

12:47 a.m. Report of a woman who assaulted an employee at a downtown bar.

1:09 a.m. An intoxicated woman downtown said a man rubbed her face into concrete.

2:08 a.m. Report of an intoxicated and belligerent man with fake dreadlocks at a store on U.S. 93 South.

2:23 a.m. Report of a woman lying on the side of Highway 40.
