The Whitefish golf teams are peaking as the Northwest A divisional tournament quickly approaches.

The Bulldogs swept the Columbia Falls Invitational Sept. 16 at Meadow Lake Golf Course.

The boys easily won with a team score of 337. Mitch Young led the way with a 79, including a hole-in-one on a 165-yard par three — the course’s second hole.

Cody Olson and Cole Turgeon both carded 84s for second place.

The Lady Bulldogs tallied 373 in a runaway team win.

Coral Schulz again led the way with an 84. Katie Fyall posted a 91 and Georgia Donaldson a 96 for second and third, respectively.

Last weekend at the competitive Kalispell Invitational at Northern Pines Golf Club, the Lady Dogs finished in third overall behind Great Falls and Glacier High School.

Schulz took second place with a two-day score of 77-75-152 to lead Whitefish. Fyall placed fourth with an 87-83-170.

The boys team placed seventh. Turgeon landed in the top-15 with a nice 79-52-161.

The Northwest A divisional golf tournament is Thursday at Meadow Lake.
