Whitefish High School’s homecoming week is just around the corner, running Sept. 21-27. Once again, we hope to make this homecoming an event for the whole community.

All local businesses in Whitefish are being challenged to decorate their windows with Bulldog spirit, and prizes will be awarded to the top three that show the most Whitefish pride.

Homecoming week will start out on Sunday with a window/sign decorating competition between the grades, culminating in the awarding of a “spirit jug” to the class with the best decorations.

On Tuesday, our new high school will host a Community Open House from 7-8 p.m. for self-guided tours. Come and see our amazing new facility. Immediately following, the community bonfire will officially kick off WHS’s 2014 homecoming week.

The homecoming athletic competitions for the week include volleyball on Thursday, football on Friday, and soccer on Saturday. We would love for the entire community to come out and support our teams.

In addition, on Friday the homecoming parade will start at 4:30 p.m. and go through downtown Whitefish, and then the presentation and crowning of homecoming royalty will occur at halftime of the football game. P

lease, see the high school website at whs.wsd44.org for specific times and locations of sporting events.

In the past, WHS has received amazing community support during homecoming week, and I hope that that this year will be the same, making homecoming 2014 a great event by coming out and helping cheer our Dogs to victory.

If you have any additional questions about homecoming week, please check the school website at whs.wsd44.org.

Thank you and go Bulldogs!
