Whitefish dominated Browning on the road Friday to pick up a 48-0 non-conference football win.

Junior quarterback Luke May threw five touchdowns, while the Dogs’ defense held the Indians to just 13 yards of total offense.

“Luke made some great decisions under pressure and the defense was able to make game-time adjustments,” Whitefish coach Chad Ross said.

Whitefish (2-0) posted three touchdowns in the first quarter alone to set the tone.

The first score came on a 22-yard pass to Jed Nagler. Jack Streibich pulled down the second touchdown of the game on a 15-yard pass. May scampered 15 yards into the end zone for the third score.

Whitefish added three more scores before halftime. Ross pulled his starters after the break to give the second unit valuable playing time.

“The younger guys got to experience varsity football,” Ross said. “You never know when you need one of them to step up.”

May finished 11 of 15 passing for 256 yards. He threw one interception.

Nagler had TD catches of 22, 19 and 80 yards. He finished with four receptions for 145 yards.

Streibich had four catches for 74 yards.

Chris Park led the Bulldog ground game with 66 yards on five attempts.

Defensively, Whitefish tallied four fumble recoveries and blocked a punt.

Logan Wynn picked off an interception.

“He did a fantastic job at middle linebacker,” Ross said of Wynn.

Defensive end Chaffin Ross had three sacks and two tackles for loss.

“Our defense continues to get better,” Ross said. “Credit coach Bollweg.”
