Spikers go 0-2 in Bitterroot

The Lady Bulldog volleyball team came up short in a pair of non-conference matches in the Bitterroot last weekend.

Hamilton defeated Whitefish 3-2, while the defending state champions from Corvallis took their match with the Lady Dogs 3-1.

Myndi Holbrook led Whitefish in both matches with 13 kills against Hamilton and 17 against Corvallis. She also tallied three blocks in each match.

Whitefish coach Sarah Scott said Maura Kalbfleisch stepped up, serving five aces and snagging a dozen digs against Hamilton.

Allie Schulz put up 25 assists against Hamilton and 32 against Corvallis.

Whitefish next plays in the Northwest-Southwest Tournament in Frenchtown on Friday and Saturday.
