Let's keep our town beautiful

I have given up taking my family for breakfast and a walk downtown on Sunday mornings. The sidewalks and parking lots are covered in vomit after a weekend of people over indulging.

Businesses are losing money because people can’t window shop and see what the stores have to offer when they have to keep their head down to watch where they are stepping.

What message are we sending to people visiting or living here by having this disgusting mess? I suggest some sort of funds be allocated for power washing the sidewalks early in the mornings on Saturdays and Sundays. These funds could possibly come from the 2 percent resort tax that are collected in order to keep the town attractive for additional funds to be spent in town.
