Richard Gage

Richard L. Dick Gage, 73, passed away on Sept. 23 at Whitefish Care and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by his family.

He was born May 8, 1941 in Whitefish to Harold (Bud) Gage and Vivian Trent. A graduate of Whitefish High School, he worked briefly for the U.S. Forest service before becoming a professional timber faller. He worked most of his life for Ureco Construction out of Columbia Falls.

He is survived by his wife, Connie; two sons, Stoney Shipp and his wife Leah, and Charlie Shipp; two daughters, Laurie Timmons and her husband Greg, and Geri Thamm and her husband David; 10 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Austin Funeral Home
