Mitchell not your typical politician

I would like to express commitment and support for Phil Mitchell, Republican candidate for Flathead County Commissioner.

I’ve known Phil for nearly 40 years, certainly enough time to assess Phil’s character. Simply put, Phil stands for the principles I believe in. Phil’s candid approach to everyday folks is one of his many strengths. He thrives on communicating with people on the street and understanding the pulse and objectives of the community.

This was clearly demonstrated when he fought for the rights of the voiceless doughnut residents while serving on the Whitefish City Council. He listens to folks and simply does his homework before reacting to vital community issues 

Phil has demonstrated exceptional leadership capabilities for many years. The right way is not always the popular and easy way. Standing for right when it is unpopular is a true test of Phil’s character.

If elected, he would be an effective asset to the commissioner’s office. Phil has an in-depth understanding of managing an impressive history of successful businesses.

It doesn’t stop there. His “silent” financial contributions in helping those in need has demonstrated to me his deep faith and community commitment.

Phil is not your typical politician running for office. He is truly a diamond in the rough. He would bring to the commission’s office honesty and integrity, favoring low taxes, a balanced budget and will consistently vote to protect the taxpayers’ wallet.
