Lieser: Privilege to serve Whitefish

It is with great humility and a sense of pride that I send thanks to the voters of Whitefish for giving me the privilege of serving them for two more years in the Montana House. For almost two years now I have tried my level best to represent the interests of this amazing community by listening to all sides of the issues that affect our residents and businesses.

In Whitefish, we have a unique community in the state of Montana. We have the benefit of a diverse and growing economy that offers opportunities for new businesses and employment. In the last session of the legislature I voted to reduce the business equipment tax, allowing small businesses a greater opportunity to grow. I will continue to look for chances to help our business interests thrive.

Our educational system not only serves our families well, it distinguishes Whitefish in a state that continually outperforms others. I believe a strong educational system is the bedrock of a healthy community. Teachers, administrators, students and families can count on my steadfast support when it comes to making our schools the best they can be.

Anyone who knows me understands that conservation of natural resources is one the essential values that I hold near and dear. After working as a forester on public and private lands for almost 40 years, I will always consider managing our natural resources in a sustainable, collaborative, and ecologically sound manner. The future of Whitefish depends on it.

As I enter my second term as your Representative for House District 5, I ask that you contact me whenever you have questions, concerns, ideas or thoughts about how Montana government can work for you.  Please feel free to call me at 471-2082 or email me at liesered@yahoo.com.  There will be a myriad of issues to consider in the upcoming legislative session. Help me, help you.

Go Dogs!!!
