Residents barricade intoxicated cyclist

Monday, May 19

12:04 p.m. A worker had questions about where he could park along Geddes Avenue. There were no parking signs on both sides of the street.

Tuesday, May 20

8:36 a.m. A man was seen smiling and leaning against a light post with a large revolver holstered on his hip.

Wednesday, May 21

10:38 a.m. Report a student with a theft problem. The principal had spoken to the student’s parents, who asked police to also speak to the child.

Thursday, May 22

11:09 a.m. A man left a threatening message for a collections officer. He allegedly said he was going to shoot the repo man who came to take his vehicle.

1:15 p.m. Report of two middle school students with marijuana and alcohol.

1:31 p.m. Report of a GPS stolen from a vehicle and frozen food from a freezer at a home on Colorado Drive.

8:42 p.m. An intoxicated bicyclist hit a vehicle’s mirror on Somers Avenue. A resident chased down and barricaded the cyclist. He was then arrested.

Friday, May 23

12:59 p.m. Report of an 85-year-old woman caught stealing at a grocery store on U.S. 93 South.

1:51 p.m. A Baker Avenue resident requested extra patrol after speeding bicyclists nearly knocked her off the road.

10:46 p.m. Report of a couple fighting on Columbia Avenue. The man allegedly hit the woman with a belt.

Saturday, May 24

1:11 a.m. Report of four men fighting near a motel on U.S. 93 South. The reporting caller said they appeared to be Canadian due to the way they were dressed. One of the men was lying next to a Jeep after getting stomped in the head, and another had an injured nose. The men were reluctant to pursue charges because they didn’t want to return for a court appearance. Police advised the men to fill out statements when they were sober.

8:09 p.m. Large rocks were removed from a yard and placed in the middle of Edgewood.

8:30 p.m. A tall man in windpants was napping in his truck on Central Avenue. It seemed suspicious.

9:21 p.m. A woman was shot twice with a pellet gun while on Baker Avenue. Police found the juvenile female suspect and seized two air soft guns.

11:29 p.m. Report of fireworks on Colorado Avenue.

Sunday, May 25

1:34 a.m. Five people in a van stole a shopping cart from a grocery store on U.S. 93 South.

1:37 p.m. Report of people at the Armory with alcohol.

1:44 p.m. Vandals snapped branches on new tress along Baker Avenue.

4:13 p.m. A caller asked police to remove a man known as “Horsepower” from a home on Wisconsin Avenue.

4:21 p.m. A man loaned money and a gun to a relative who lives in Whitefish. The relative threatened to blow the man’s [expletive] head off after he was asked to repay the money and return the gun.
