Flathead Valley Community College Theatre will hold auditions for its summer theatre season May 22 and 23.
Jointly directed by Blake Sherman and returning director Joshua Kelly, the shows will include Stephen Adly Guirgis’s “The Last Days of Judas Iscariot” and William Shakespeare’s “Hamlet.” The shows are scheduled for late July and mid-August.
Those interested in auditioning should prepare one monologue from any Shakespeare character and a contrasting modern monologue. Auditions also will include cold readings of provided scenes from one or both shows. Additional callbacks may be scheduled at a later date.
All auditioning actors will be considered for both shows. Rehearsals are scheduled to allow cast actors to perform in both shows if interested. In addition, stage managing, tech crew and various design positions will be available for both shows.
Auditions will take place at 6 p.m. in the FVCC Theatre inside the Arts and Technology Building on campus. Interested actors may choose to audition either date.

Individuals may participate for a minimum donation of $10 and teams of five or more may participate for a minimum donation of $8 per person. You must be registered by May 16 in order to participate in this event that is aimed at raising awareness for suicide prevention. It is open to all and will be held at the WHS Track on June 3. T-shirts will be provided to those who pre-register.
The Humane Society of Northwest Montana is holding a matching donation promotion during the month of May. Because of an anonymous donor, any donation during the month of May will be doubled. Spring is the busiest season for the Humane Society creating more financial demands for treating, spay/neuter, feeding and finding homes for dogs and cats in Flathead County. To donate online visit www.humanesocietypets.com or mail a check to P.O. BOX 221, Kalispell, MT 59903 or call 752-7297.
