| May 14, 2014 10:00 PM

Ronnie Ernest Taylor, 60, of Whitefish, passed away on May 8.

Ron was born in Bonners Ferry, Idaho on Nov.10, 1953 to Patricia Dean Cordell. He and his mother moved to Whitefish in 1956. It was here that his mother met and married Oliver (Bob) S. Taylor, a railroad car man, whom Ron considered his father.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Robert; and his beloved son, Logan James.

Ron very much enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He was constantly admiring the great beauty of nature; this love carried into his concern for the environment and determination to clean up litter. Ron had a deep passion for music, cars and helping others. He will be remembered for his gracious spirit, jovial storytelling, and his catchy jokes.

Ron is survived by his daughter, Cori Beth Taylor of Missoula; his dear friend Lita Taylor of Whitefish; and his sister, Denise Taylor Lawe of Houston.

A memorial and celebration of life for Ron will be held Saturday May 17 at 1 p.m., at the Whitefish Armory. There will be a potluck to follow. Guests are invited to bring their favorite side dishes or desserts.

Austin Funeral Home is caring for Ronnie’s family.
