Bessie Ingraham

| May 6, 2014 10:00 PM

Surrounded by her loving children, Bessie Ann Ingraham passed quietly April 28 “from this life to the next with the Lord in heaven.”

Bessie was born in Whitefish Dec. 5, 1939, to parents Bill and Ida Hunnewell. She grew up in Olney and later met and married the love of her life Walter Ingraham on Dec. 21, 1957. They were blessed with eight children.

Her passion in life was taking care of her family. She was actively involved in her children’s and grandchildren’s sports and school events. She was very proud of each and every one of them and rarely missed a game or event. She would put the “soccer mom” to shame. She embraced changes in times and became a fan of social media and her Kindle was always by her side.

She is survived by children, Debra and Eldon Eveland, Ervin and Arleen Ingraham, Brenda and Fred Fredrickson, Janet and Ken Bridges, Rick and Pam Ingraham, David Ingraham, Jody and Amy Ingraham, and Tonya Ingraham. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jeffery, Eric, Travis, Tiffany and Sean, Andrew, Christopher, Brandon, Deidre, Brynn, Conner, Qynn, Kyiah and Ansn; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Isaac, Taylor and Landon; her brother, Jim, and Marcia Hunnewell; and sister, Elsie Gress.

Bessie was preceded in death by her loving husband, parents and granddaughter Emily Ann.

A service of remembrance was held May 3 at Austin Funeral Home in Whitefish. Interment followed at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia Falls.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to the Bessie Ingraham Memorial Fund set up at the Whitefish Credit Union, P.O. Box 37, Whitefish, MT 59937.

Austin Funeral Home is caring for Bessie’s family.
