Snowmobiler keeps sick neighbor from hitting the books

Monday, March 3

2:46 a.m. Report of a cat at large on Shiloh Avenue. It was scratching at a neighbor’s door.

6:31 p.m. An intoxicated man in snow gear was touching people and swearing at a downtown bar.

Tuesday, March 4

12:33 a.m. A tenant-landlord issue was reported on Dakota Avenue. A woman said three men entered her home and kicked down her bedroom door. She was hiding in the bathroom. The men said the woman needed to move out. The woman was arrested for disorderly conduct.

5:31 p.m. A woman reported her vehicle floor mats were stolen while she was washing her car on Riverside Avenue.

9:52 p.m. A woman found a dead baby pig on top of her car parked on U.S. 93. The pig was disposed of properly.

Wednesday, March 5

12:20 a.m. Someone punched out a light on the side of a building downtown. The man was found and arrested for criminal mischief.

8:44 a.m. A man wearing a beanie hat was driving recklessly around a grocery store and coffee shop on U.S. 93 South. He was dragging his front bumper beneath the car.

Thursday, March 6

12:23 a.m. A man fell in the alley behind Central Avenue. He was either extremely intoxicated or having a diabetic issue.

8:36 a.m. Report of a 4-foot deep puddle on Somers Avenue. Public Works said there is a drainage issue they plan to fix this summer.

10:18 a.m. An East 7th Street resident said someone called her mother three times and used profanities.

10:32 a.m. Report of non-stop barking dogs on Columbia Avenue.

Friday, March 7

9:25 a.m. The taillight of a car on Pine Avenue may have been busted with a potato gun.

12:54 p.m. Report of a dispute over barking dogs on Somers Avenue.

Saturday, March 8

11:24 a.m. Two young girls were seen on the ice at the river.

11:43 a.m. Report of two vehicle break-ins on Portage Way. Two phones and cash were stolen.

12:26 p.m. One of three Chihuahua dogs reportedly tried to bite a boy on Kalispell Avenue.

5:43 p.m. Report of a teenage driver on East 2nd who intentionally hit a turkey then turned around and hit it again. The turkey was still alive.

6:17 p.m. A jacket with a passport was stolen from a bar on Central Avenue.

Sunday, March 9

1:37 a.m. Report of a man who punched a woman in the face in front of the depot. A large group was trying to separate the two.

3:20 a.m. Report of a disorderly man downtown who was wearing a sweater with snowflakes.

4:12 a.m. An intoxicated and irrational woman was taken to the hospital after a verbal dispute on Fir Avenue.

1:44 p.m. A parent found drug paraphernalia and alcohol in his son’s backpack.

2:59 p.m. A Denver Street resident told police he had the flu and lots of homework to finish, and that a neighbor kept revving a snowmobile engine. The neighbor was advised to keep it quiet.

10:15 p.m. Four young children were screaming for help in a yard on U.S. 93 South while a man and woman were fighting.
