Winter’s not done with Northwest Montana just yet. A significant spring storm is predicted to impact the region beginning Monday night, bringing heavy snow to the mountains around Whitefish.

The National Weather Service in Missoula has issued a winter storm warning in and around Glacier National Park for elevations above 6,500 feet with predictions of snow accumulations of one to two feet. The elevation at Logan Pass on the Going-to-the-Sun Road is 6,646 feet.

Rain amounts in the Park could reach 2-3 inches with higher amounts along the divide.

The latter part of the week should bring a nice bounce back in temperatures, the National Weather Service reports.
