Monday, July 7

9:18 a.m. A woman said the father of her child threatened to kill her. She was advised about how to obtain a restraining order.

2:42 p.m. Report of someone holding a rifle out of a vehicle window on Iron Horse Drive. It was a BB gun. Police advised the person to not stick it out of the car or discharge it within city limits.

7:32 p.m. Report of three cats, two dogs and a rabbit not being cared for on Edgewood Place.

Tuesday, July 8

7:16 a.m. Report of vehicle break-ins on East 5th Street, East 2nd Street and Park Avenue. A backpack, wallet, bank card, gift card, iPhone and iPod were stolen.

10:49 a.m. A bike was stolen from the front porch of a home on Willow Brook Close.

12:02 p.m. A Kalispell Avenue resident said someone tried to poison his dog with pepper spray.

2:12 p.m. A young boy was riding his bike on U.S. 93 South. The boy said he was returning home from a sleep over.

5:22 p.m. A man asked the hospital for the social security number of a newborn. He allegedly said he was going to kill the child’s mother.

Wednesday, July 9

5:02 p.m. Report of a man selling drugs on U.S. 93 South. Police investigated and found the man was just begging for money.

6:36 p.m. Report of a purse stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Somers Avenue.

8:20 p.m. Report of a man punching walls and damaging property at a fitness center on Baker Avenue.

Thursday, July 10

7:31 a.m. Someone tagged the walls of a building on Central Avenue and damaged the bathroom inside a business.

4:27 p.m. A check book, wallet and diaper bag were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Somers Avenue.

8:58 p.m. Report of two boys on dirt bikes racing up and down a walking trail near Arielle Way. Police told the boys they would be cited if caught on the path again.

Friday, July 11

12:07 a.m. Loud music and screaming were reported at City Beach.

8:57 a.m. A man who had allegedly threatened to kill a woman was arrested on Wisconsin Avenue.

9:06 p.m. A mountain lion was spotted in front of the Alpine Market. It appeared to be headed to City Beach.

6:29 p.m. Report of a man wandering around downtown being a “jerk” and “a real ***hole.” He was described as a “typical hippie” with a beard. Police found no one causing trouble.

Saturday, July 12

3:11 a.m. An employee at a store on U.S. 93 South refused to sell a man two beers because it was after hours. The man then put $6 on the counter and ran off with the alcohol. All the items taken were worth about $5.

5:05 a.m. Report of an intoxicated man and his friend stranded on Whitefish Lake floating on paddleboards. They said they had been on the lake for four hours and were floating in a cove. The men didn’t appear to be in distress, but asked for a taxi to pick them up at shore.

10:07 a.m. Hanging flower baskets were stolen from a hotel on Spokane Avenue.

10:17 a.m. Two flower pots were stolen from the front porch of a home on Spokane Avenue.

3:04 p.m. Someone let the air of the tires of a vehicle on Ashar Avenue.

7:30 p.m. A man was arrested after he stole a pair of $100 sandals from a sports store at the mall.

10:40 p.m. Report of a truck hauling railroad ties that hit a light post on East 2nd Street.

11:51 p.m. Several people were heard cussing and singing at City Beach.

Sunday, July 13

2:18 a.m. Two car loads of people were partying, yelling and swimming at City Beach.

12:09 p.m. A wakeboard was stolen from a boat at a marina on Wisconsin Avenue.

9:26 p.m. Someone has been knocking on the windows and doors of a home on O’Brien Avenue.

10:28 p.m. A man and woman were heard yelling at each other and their child at an apartment on Wisconsin Avenue. The woman was arrested for disorderly conduct.

11:50 p.m. Report of someone mowing their lawn on Sawtooth Drive.
