Show some pride in our town

I was born and raised in Whitefish and have nothing but fond memories of Whitefish Winter Carnival. In fact, watching the parade every winter was one of the highlights of my childhood.

My visit downtown this last Sunday afternoon was an extreme disheartening experience.

As I walked Central Avenue I was confronted with the sight of dozen upon dozens of frozen piles of vomit, frozen puddles of urine and in one spot something much worse.

I think as a town we need to consider about how we wish our town to be used and the pride we have in its appearance and treatment.

Local business front windows and entry ways covered in last nights over indulgence is not how I remember my hometown and it is most defiantly not how I wish to experience it now.
