The Whitefish girls basketball team couldn’t find its shooting touch in a lopsided conference loss to Libby on Friday at home.

The Lady Dogs were held scoreless in the first quarter and only managed a single point in the third frame. Whitefish shot just 3 for 34 from the field — 9 percent.

Nine Whitefish players scored, but none had more than four points in the losing effort. Coral Schulz and Cevana Lawshe each hit four free throws to lead their team.

Saturday, Whitefish lost 24-60 at Glacier High School.

Whitefish is now 2-3 overall and 0-1 in the Northwest A. The Dogs next play at Bigfork on Jan. 2.
