Police calls: Group claims they were drugged downtown
Monday, Dec. 8
12:53 p.m. A Greenwood Drive resident found the front door to her house wide open. She was afraid to go inside until police arrived. Nothing suspicious was found.
2:44 p.m. Security cameras caught teens snowboarding in the driveway of a Dakota Avenue property. The homeowner was out of town and asked police to remove the kids.
11:38 p.m. Report of a physical disturbance on West 2nd Street. A woman claimed her intoxicated boyfriend twisted her arm and possibly broke it.
Tuesday, Dec. 9
4:53 p.m. A bear den was found just a few feet from a house on Bay Point Drive. The bear wasn’t in the den, but fresh tracks were outside. Fish, Wildlife and Parks was notified.
Wednesday, Dec. 10
11:50 a.m. A pickup parked on Dakota Avenue was blocking the snowplow.
7:06 p.m. Report of a disorderly woman at the hospital.
Thursday, Dec. 11
10:30 a.m. A pickup was blocking an alley off Lupfer Avenue. The driver refused to move the vehicle for a resident trying to get to his house.
1:18 p.m. A deer broke its leg after jumping a fence on Somers Avenue.
4:50 p.m. Report of child screaming outside of a house on Wisconsin Avenue for three hours. The caller believed she was locked out of the house. The child was later seen wandering down the street.
5:36 p.m. A driver on Baker Avenue reported a vehicle following him and objects thrown at his car.
11:30 p.m. Report of an intoxicated man yelling and trying to break in a door on U.S. 93 South.
Friday, Dec. 12
9:05 a.m. Report of a vehicle break-in on Copperwood Court.
1:09 p.m. Report of a vehicle break-in on Colorado Avenue.
4:02 p.m. A Woodland Place resident asked for assistance in getting her intoxicated boyfriend inside the house. The man had fallen multiple times and she was unable to move him herself.
8:55 p.m. A report of gun shots on Shady River Lane were likely fireworks.
Saturday, Dec. 13
2:54 p.m. Report of a package stolen from a house on Park Avenue.
6:01 p.m. A group of five people alleged they were drugged while at a downtown bar. The reporting caller said they all passed out in weird places and none of them have any memories of the evening. Police advised the caller they could take a urinalysis exam and police could provide the results.
Sunday, Dec. 14
2:07 p.m. Report of a vehicle in the ditch off State Park Road.
8:27 p.m. The hospital reported a person with a self-inflicted gunshot would to the foot. Several intoxicated people were wandering around the emergency room.
