This Saturday is the very popular Season Opener Tournament, which is played as a two-person net best-ball format. This is a great way to kick off your season with a fun format where both players share the scoring by whoever has the lowest net score on each hole.

The Golf Shop will run the tournament with numerous flights for various player abilities. Each team member must have an established handicap or play as a zero handicap.

Grab a friend and sign up today in the Golf Shop or by calling 862-5960.

Memberships

Memberships at the Whitefish Lake Golf Club are always open to anyone interested in joining. The fees are lowest for School District 44 residents and increase as we move into the season. WLGC offers the lowest rates in the valley and is the only 36-hole facility to be found, while offering the best playing conditions and amenities.

Pace of Play

Whitefish Lake Golf Club is known for very reasonable playing times, even during the peak season with rounds on the North averaging four hours and the South Course only slightly longer.

Pace of play is often an excuse not to play golf. We take pride in our pace of play and plan to analyze how can further improve times. We want our players to enjoy their experience no matter their playing ability and to understand the goal is to keep up with the group ahead of you. Ready golf, or playing your shot as soon as you can, allows everyone to move quickly and stay on pace.

All that said, unless you are the first group out each morning, you may have to wait during your round. Some holes simply take longer for a group to play than others, usually par 3s, so don’t be surprised when you do wait on the tee. Enjoy your round and help maintain our hour-hour goal of playing time for each group.

League Play

If you are interested in playing in any of our leagues, ladies, men or seniors simply call the Golf Shop at 862-5960 to sign up for openings on teams or as a substitute. Ladies league and senior league are played on Tuesday and the mens league is on Thursday late afternoon. Cost for all the league play is very reasonable.
