PTA gives back to schools

On behalf of the Whitefish Parent Teacher Association Board, I am pleased to announce the PTA has awarded more than $22,000 this school year through its Wish List giving initiative.

If you’ve ever wondered why our dedicated PTA volunteers work so hard to raise money, it’s because those funds are invested in the schools to directly benefit all our children. This year’s requests included funds for art supplies, books to build classroom libraries, gym and playground equipment, classroom supplies, and kitchen equipment for the new high school cafeteria.

We’d like to extend a huge “thank you” to our teachers, principals, administrators, and to our parents who continue to support the Memorial Day Stumptown Golf Scramble, Believe, and other PTA events and fundraisers. We especially thank the group of parents who volunteer their time for our schools.

The rewards of being a PTA member are vast, and go beyond just making new friends. Being able to help a teacher so they can excel in their classroom and contribute to the success of their students is a vital role that we take very seriously.

We strongly encourage parents to join us and consider serving on next year’s PTA board. Please nominate yourself or a friend so we can keep supporting Whitefish Schools. Questions about PTA can be emailed to cerossi6877@yahoo.com.
