At our Special Board Meeting last Monday, during which we discussed plans for next year’s block scheduling, someone remarked on the fact that Whitefish is a unique community — one which is receptive to new ideas and innovation.

Recently, the Whitefish Community Foundation rallied the support of First Interstate Bank and Whitefish Mountain Resort, along with several individual donors, in order to compile a $10,000 grant to help the district do a more thorough job of communicating those ideas.

Now our district will be better able to share our ongoing and deep conversation about improving our educational delivery and teaching our students more effectively. Please expect further letters, Spotlight articles and online communications about educational innovation and real achievement within our district.

And by all means, please attend our meetings and learning sessions to listen to and participate in our discussions. And to the Whitefish Community Foundation, our heartfelt thanks!
