William (Bill) Robert Repnak

William (Bill) Robert Repnak, 83, passed away at his home in Lakeside on April 8 from a degenerative heart condition. With the wonderful help of hospice, his family was able to care for him during his final days and were with him at his bedside when he peacefully passed away.

He was born to Anna and Julius Repnak on Nov. 3, 1930, in Billings, where he spent his youth. Bill served during the Korean War for two years.

On July 12, 1953, he married his friend and life-long bride, Elsie Crawford. They moved to the Flathead Valley where they raised their six children. Bill was employed at the Anaconda/Arco Aluminum Plant for 32 years until he retired.

He was happiest when he was camping, hunting, fishing and boating with his family. Campgrounds around Flathead Lake and Hungry Horse Reservoir provided many precious memories for Bill and the family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Elsie, brothers Don, Charles and Joe, and his sisters Mildred and Judy.

He is survived by his six children, Laurie Scott and husband Mike, Bob Repnak and wife Cathy, Rick Repnak, Luanne McCarthy and husband Don, Jolene Wolfe and husband Jody, and Pam Wright and husband Frank. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Anne and Paige Repnak, Angela Jacobsen, Jill and Katie Goodnough, Nathan and Amanda Wolfe, and Kyle and Amy Wright; as well as two great-grandchildren, Markus Jacobsen and Brooklynn Wright. Bill is also survived by his brother, John and sisters, Louise and Pat.

To respect Bill’s wishes, there will not be a service at this time. The family will celebrate the life of this wonderful man later this summer. If you wish to do something in his honor, go fishing, go camping, spend time with your family, tip a beer, enjoy a hot tub, pet your dog, laugh or smile — just be happy and enjoy life — that is what he did. They provided the vital support network for the family in their time of need.
