Bulldogs dominate Cats in tennis opener

The Whitefish boys tennis team opened the season with an impressive 6-1 dual win over Columbia Falls on Thursday.

The Bulldogs swept the singles matches, taking each in just two sets.

Senior Logan Blades easily dispatched Gavin Thelan 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 singles. Holden Roberts won at No. 2 singles 6-0, 6-0.

Bailey Jack found himself in a real battle at No. 3 singles with Grant Wallace. He managed to pull out the victory 6-4, 6-3. Tommy Murphy picked up another win at No. 4 singles.

The No. 2 doubles team of Ryan Brown and Jack Brandt defeated Evan Wells and Taston Fisher 6-3, 6-3. Ethan Poffhoff and Jack Kahle took care of business at No. 3 with a 6-0, 6-1 victory.

Whitefish hosts Libby on April 17.
