Former councilor supports Mitchell

I am a conservative who served with Phil Mitchell on the Whitefish City Council. I know Phil well, which is why I am enthusiastic that he is running for Flathead County Commissioner.

The Whitefish City Council was controlled by those who love to tax and regulate people and their property. But Phil fought back and brought a different view point, even when we had a difficult challenge to try and change the outcome. He was tough and smart, never losing sight of his principles.

More than once, Phil told me that lots of people have to work or are raising their kids, and that they don’t have time to attend long political meetings. So he’d talk with people throughout the weeks on job sites, in the grocery and at church. When he sat down at council, he had notes of what these people had told him all month long.

Phil is a successful businessman man who favors low taxes, lean government spending, freedom for the doughnut residents, and recognition of our property rights. He listens and does his homework.  He will be a commissioner we can be proud of and he will represent all our communities well.
