Sharon Dianne (Orre) Stratton

Sharon Dianne (Orre) Stratton, 73, passed away Sept. 24, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born March 18, 1940, in Hillsboro, N.D., to Leonard and Elenor Orre. They later moved to Opheim where they resided on the John and Anna Richardson Sheep Ranch, where some of Sharon’s fondest memories of her childhood were spent. Sharon graduated from Opheim High School in 1958.

On June 7, 1959, Sharon married her high school sweetheart Sandy Stratton. In 1965, Sharon and Sandy moved to Columbia Falls, where they have resided since then.

Sharon was preceded in death by her infant son Scott Lewis; her father and mother; her sister Sally Harris; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law Sam and Irene Stratton.

She is survived by her husband Sandy; son Steven and his children TJ, Tara and Casey; son Stewart and his children Shelby, Zach and Orian; son Shane and wife Jenny with their children Ashlee, Josh and Mason; and son Scott and wife Kim with their children Kayla and Jake; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; sisters Connie Goaseuski and husband Bill, of Bayonne, N.J., and Clara Stahl and husband Rance, of Billings; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will take placeat Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls on Saturday, Sept. 28, at 2 p.m. Inurnment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, followed by a supper at the Kalispell  Moose Lodge. At a later date, a gathering also will be celebrated at Lawn Dale Cemetery in Opheim.
