Years ago, Don Brown was the artist-in-residence at Glacier National Park’s Lake McDonald Lodge, hired by concessioner Glacier Park Inc. to paint. That was the late 1980s, and his work was sold in the gift shops at the lodge.

Today, the 84-year-old Brown is still painting Glacier Park landscapes, but now it’s at his home in Las Vegas, Nev. Brown recently completed a 9-foot wide by 4 1/2-foot high acrylic mural of St. Mary Lake.

Brown said he used a high-quality pre-primed canvas. The durable painting is suitable for any wall.

“It can be scrubbed and washed with dishwashing liquid,” he said.

The painting took more than three months to complete. Now it’s rolled up and stored in his studio. He said he hopes to find a buyer for the painting. Brown can be reached at 702-845-6069.
