Ultramarathon

The 32nd annual LeGrizz 50 Mile Ultramarathon race will take place along the Hungry Horse Reservoir on Saturday, Oct. 12, starting at 8 a.m. The event is sponsored by the Cheetah Herders Athletic Club. Completion rate has been 95 percent. For more information, visit online at www.cheetahherders.com. Deadline to register is Sept. 28.

History run

The fourth annual 10K and 5K Run Through History will take place in downtown Kalispell on Saturday, Sept. 28, with registration at the Museum At Central School from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. and the 10K race starting at 10 a.m. Pre-register for $15 online at www.downtownkalispell.com or on the day of the race for $20.

Hole in one

Sandra Mellish, of Langley, B.C., hit a hole in one at Meadow Lake  Golf Course on Sept. 1. She used a 7 wood to ace the 127-yard second hole. Barbara Linn witnessed the hole in one.
