Fred Tobiason

Fred O. Tobiason, 77, passed away Aug. 29, 2013, in Kalispell.

Fred was born Jan. 30, 1936, in Froid, the son of Melvin and Bertha Tobiason and the second of five children. He was raised on the family farm and graduated from Froid High School in 1955.

He met and married Cynthia Ann Stevens on March 26, 1957. Together they raised three children. In 1967, they moved to Kalispell, and Fred worked for the Anaconda Aluminum Company and C & C Plywood, two full-time jobs for 14 years, retiring from the aluminum plant in 1998.

Fred is survived by his children Jim Tobiason and wife Bonnie, Dennis Tobiason and wife Helen, and Val Robbins and husband Willie; nine grandchildren; many great grandchildren; brother Earl Tobiason; sister Ardiss Kunze and husband Dale; brother-in-law Lorring Stevens and wife Ardis; and sister-in-law Lillian Stevens.

Celebration of life services will be held at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home on Friday, Sept. 6, at 1 p.m. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the services.
