After hours pet care in Whitefish

It was great to read the article on Daisy the dog (Whitefish Pilot, Sept. 18) who was attacked by the bear, and to hear of her positive outcome after treatment at Flathead Pet Emergency.  

The article mentioned that there is no after hours veterinary care available in Whitefish. That is incorrect.

Since 1992, Whitefish Animal Hospital has offered an after hours service and our doctors are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  

The Flathead Pet Emergency is a welcome addition to the veterinary services provided in the Flathead Valley, and we appreciate the care that they have provided our patients when needed.

Please know that we are also available for any after hours veterinary emergency.
