Park construction costs detailed

Here’s a look at what some of the reconstruction contracts on the Sun Road have cost, according to figures provided on the Federal Highway Administration Web site:

• Additional parking at the Apgar Transit Center (not completed): $617,945

• Avalanche to the West Side Tunnel: $5.31 million

• Logan Pass to Siyeh Bend: $10.831 million

• Big Bend to Logan Pass: $14.987 million

• Rehabilitate the West Entrance Station: $809,556

• Rehabilitate the the St. Mary Visitor Center: $2.279 million

• Crystal Point to Haystack Creek, $9.990 million

• West Side Tunnel to Haystack Creek: $12.2 million.
