Terrorist trees

I for one am thankful that we will be able to keep our assault weapons. That the Montana Legislature is preserving our right to assault, and that Harry Reid has seen the “wisdom” and the glory of the NRA.

I was out skiing the past two weekends and approached different places where the trail leaves the road. At one location, five trees were cut off waist high. At another, four trees were “wasted.” These trees, I might add, were over 40 to 50 feet high and well over 6 inches in diameter and different species, too — birch, larch and fir.

I am so relieved to think these terrorist trees, these criminals, were brought to their knees. Just imagine if they had been allowed to live and invade? We are all safer now, knowing we can even stop trees in their tracks.

And heck, with the proficiency of automatic rounds and the incredible increase in sales of more assault weapons, we won’t even need chainsaws. We can sit in our rigs, mow the suckers down, drink a beer (or six), throw it in the ditch at the base of that invasive tree, slap our thigh and drive away ... with complete satisfaction. We’ve rid our county and country of more branching threats to our freedom.

We can all breathe a collective sigh of relief — assault weapons will increase in sales and some day all the invasive trees, not to mention a few policeman and children, will be mowed down. Easily, I might add.
