Police calls: Man with knife causes ruckus at hotel

Monday, March 11
7:41 a.m. A disgruntled employee and his mother were harassing and threatening people at a job site on Sawtooth Drive.
4 p.m. A black puppy with a brown face and blue collar had been running loose for two days on O’Brien Avenue. The dog was taken to the animal shelter.
Tuesday, March 12
8:22 a.m. A poodle was loose on Riverside Ave.
1:46 p.m. An ongoing bullying problem was reported at the middle school after someone threw a snowball at the reporting party.
8:33 p.m. A man stole a blanket and a TV out of a hotel room on U.S. 93 South.
10:19 p.m. Renters on Hazel Place were suspected of growing marijuana.
Wednesday, March 13
12:13 p.m. A Budweiser truck hit a parked car on Central Avenue.
2:46 p.m. A pitbull charged a person walking by a home on East 3rd Street and the owner told the party to get lost.
3:45 p.m. A child was reported missing from school all week after the mother failed to show up for an appointment at the child’s school. Officers found that the family had apparently left town after eventually locating the child’s grandfather, who had also been unable to contact the child or mother.
Thursday, March 14
9:27 a.m. A yellow van on Ashar Avenue had been parked and left running for more than an hour.
11:47 a.m. A person tried to use someone else’s ID to buy cigarettes on U.S. 93 South.
3:04 p.m. A man entered a Central Avenue salon and seemed to be very disoriented.
Friday, March 15
2:03 p.m. A woman said she was pushed by another person on East 7th Street.
7 p.m. A man found a gem in the crack of a sidewalk on Baker Avenue. He wanted to know what to do with it.
11:03 p.m. A man in his 20s was seen pooping in a flower box on East 5th Street.
Saturday, March 16
12:45 a.m. A man said he was attacked by four men outside of a bar on Central Avenue. The man was thrown to the ground and punched.
3:17 p.m. A man on Woodland Place heard glass break and saw about nine teenagers run toward City Beach.
6:13 p.m. A disoriented woman on Pine Avenue was looking for her son.
6:24 p.m. A driver on Ashar Avenue was suspected of being high on bath salts.
9:11 p.m. Fireworks were heard on Kalispell Avenue.
9:52 p.m. A caller heard four shots fired on East 5th Street.
Sunday, March 17
2:02 a.m. A man alleged he was punched in the face by the Ride Guy.
10:52 a.m. A man turned in drug paraphernalia he found at his house.
8:23 p.m. Four people were fighting on Baker Avenue. One man was arrested for disorderly conduct.
9:55 p.m. An intoxicated man holding a knife was passed out in front of a hotel on Spokane Avenue. He later climbed onto a balcony and was screaming obscenities.
10:49 p.m. An 18-year-old woman was caught with a fake ID.

1:43 a.m. A couple was having sex on the viaduct.
