Straw Bale Gardening with ESP

Mary Laud will lead the Essential Stuff Project’s session on container and staw bale gardening at Clementine’s in Bigfork on March 20 at 7 p.m.

Laud is an avid container organic gardener who is creative with her choice of containers and how she augments the fertility of the soil. She will bring examples of containers, primarily repurposed objects which may include: bags, gutters, shoes, old dresser drawers, straw bales and more.

Following her presentation, there will be a group discussion to lay out rules and categories for ESP’s first annual container gardening competition.
