Michael Fitzpatrick

Michael Thomas Fitzpatrick, 69, died unexpectedly on June 7, 2013, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

He was born July 15, 1943, in Kenosha, Wis., to Norman and Doris (Newhouse) Fitzpatrick, and lived in the Kenosha area until 1977, when he moved to Coram. 

Mike went to work for Glacier National Park as a seasonal campground maintenance work leader for 10 summers starting in in March 2001.

In 1964, he married Nancy Overstreet, and they had three children, Megan, Heather and Timon. He and Nancy later divorced. In March 1986, he married Mary Lou Dakin.

Mike is survived by his wife Mary Lou, in Coram; daughter Megan Fitzpatrick, of Missoula; daughter Heather Fitzpatrick, of Kalispell; son Timon Fitzpatrick and wife Christa, of Coon Rapids, Minn.; sister Carol Truskowski and husband Jerry, of Pleasant Prairie, Wis.; sister Jean Weber and husband Dick, of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; aunt Arlene Sinnen, of Kenosha, Wis., and cousins Glenand, Fifi and Melville, of Phillips, Wis.; and extended family Bill and Sarah Dakin, of Columbia Falls, Bob and Claudia Dakin, of Custer, S.D., and Tom Dakin, of Missoula.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Mike’s life with military honors, will take place at the Dew Drop Inn in Coram on Saturday, June 22, at 2 p.m.

Memorial donations may be made to the NRA Eddie Eagle organization, Pheasants Forever, Wounded Warriors, or a charity of choice.
