The search for a new Glacier National Park superintendent has been whittled down to one candidate, but the person’s name has not been released yet.

Park spokeswoman Denise Germann confirmed, however, that acting superintendent Kym Hall was not named to the post.

Hall, the Park’s deputy superintendent, was one of the candidates for the position. She’s been acting superintendent since Chas Cartwright retired in December 2012.

Germann said the formal announcement of the new superintendent will come after the person is approved by National Park Service director Jonathan Jarvis. The name should be released in the next few days, Germann said.
