Police calls: Giant storm of honey bees downtown

Monday, July 8

10:37 a.m. Police were looking for a suspicious shirtless man on the walking path. After scouring the area, police determined everyone was wearing a shirt.

3:08 p.m. Report of vandalism on Spokane Avenue.

7:43 p.m. A homeless looking man was seen lying in the grass near the River Lakes subdivision. He was just taking a break.

Tuesday, July 9

6:09 a.m. A man in hightop shoes was on his way home after a rough night.

9:10 a.m. Report of three dogs possibly abandoned at a home on Somers Avenue.

1:04 p.m. Two men asked a suspicious man in the alley behind Central Avenue to move along. The man pointed his finger at th0e two men like it was a gun then pretended to shoot them.

10:47 p.m. Report of fireworks on Kalispell Avenue.

Wednesday, July 10

10:08 a.m. A man and woman were caught shoplifting on U.S. 93 South.

8:05 p.m. Report of a disorderly woman on East 2nd Street leaving in a van with a child she didn’t have permission to leave with. The woman may have been carrying a large kitchen knife.

9:20 p.m. Report of a teenage boy ripping things off the wall at a home on Montana Avenue. The boy was taking narcotics for pain after having surgery.

10:14 p.m. A woman heard knocking on the side of her house. Two teens were seen running from the home.

11:11 p.m. Two teenage boys were caught peeking though windows on West 8th Street. They may have had a love interest living in the neighborhood.

Thursday, July 11

1:12 a.m. Three people were fighting with a bouncer on Central Avenue.

1:58 a.m. Report of 50 Rainbow people camping near Spokane Avenue.

Friday, July 12

5:10 p.m. Report of a dog on Railway Street barking nonstop for two days.

Saturday, July 13

10:42 a.m. A skateboard and Xbox were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Glenwood Road.

5:27 p.m. Report of an assault on Dakota Avenue. One man said he was hit in the head and his shirt was ripped.

9:37 p.m. Report of an abandoned dog on Somers Avenue. The dog was whining and there was dog feces all over the place.

11:08 p.m. A group of people were putting inappropriate items into a red corvette.

Sunday, July 14

2:01 a.m. A man was lying in the middle of Wisconsin Avenue.

1:03 p.m. Report of people fleeing a giant storm of honey bees on Central Avenue. Bees were everywhere, creating a public safety issue. A beekeeper was called to assist with removing the hive.
