Tip o' the Hat to the Bigfork Elves

I would like to thank all of the Elves, local business owners, flight leaders and community groups who provide assistance to decorate Bigfork for the holidays. The Elves have been gathering the Saturday before Thanksgiving for over 30 years, transforming the village in just a few hours. It is this spirit of volunteerism that exemplifies the special people in our community.

Over the years, Decorating Day has grown and become a fun, festive, and wonderful social interaction for all ages. On the third Saturday of January the Elves returned to the village to remove the garlands and trees and put the lights away. I would like to give a big thanks to those who lent a hand, a truck and their time. And one more thank you to Doug Averill and the staff at the Flathead Lake Lodge for providing 15 years of Elf support.
