Local artists looking to display their talent while sharing what they love most are invited to submit their work for the Bigfork Museum of Art and History’s Valentine’s Day exhibit, “Show Us a Little Love.”

The museum is accepting works of art no larger than 12 inches on the longest side for two-dimensional work and no larger than 12 inches high, wide or deep for three-dimensional work.

Other than that, the only stipulation for exhibit submissions is that it must represent something the artist loves. This can be anything from a favorite pet, a western Montana sunset and Glacier National Park to something as simple to love as chocolate cake. As long as the artist loves it and it fits the small dimension sizes, it’s fit for submission.

Artwork submissions should also include a short story explaining why the artwork was submitted and how it fits the exhibit’s theme.

The museum is also seeking some creative submissions for original Valentine’s cards. Card submissions can be 4-by-6 inches, 5-by-5 inches, or 5-by-7 inches.

There is no entry fee for Valentine’s card, or art students in kindergarten through 12th-grade. All other artists will have a $5 entry fee.

Submissions are to be dropped off at the museum on Feb. 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. or Feb. 6 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The exhibit will run from Feb. 8 through March 9.

Entry forms are available at the museum or at www.bigforkmuseum.org. For more information call 837-6927.
